How much should I feed my dog?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Our feeding guidelines are based on the average caloric needs of an indoor, spayed or neutered adult dog. They are meant to serve as a starting point when determining how much raw food to feed your dog. Every dog is different, just like people. Age, activity level, metabolism, and overall health all play a role in how much food your dog truly needs.

Several factors can affect how much raw food your dog requires, including age, activity level, breed, and overall health.

  • Less food may be needed if your dog is older, less active, or has a slower metabolism.

  • More food may be needed if your dog is energetic, or highly active.

For puppies, please refer to our puppy feeding guide for specific recommendations on how much food to feed a growing dog.

Always monitor your dog’s weight, energy levels, and overall health to ensure you’re feeding the right amount.
