Dog feeding guide
Feeding guidelines are based on the average caloric needs of the average indoor, spayed or neutered, dog. Use these guidelines as a starting point and adjust based on your dog’s individual needs. Just like people, the metabolisms and caloric needs of dogs are wide ranging and there are many factors involved in determining the appropriate amount for your dog.
You may need to feed less if your dog is older and/or sedentary, and more if your dog is young and/or very active.
For leaner, lower calorie proteins like chicken or pork, you will need to feed a little bit more than for the fattier, higher calorie proteins like beef or duck.
If your dog is a puppy, please follow our puppy feeding guide.
