Can I cook the food?

Updated over a week ago

Yes, if you’re more comfortable cooking your pet’s meals, you can gently cook our food. To ensure safety, cook it to an internal temperature of no more than 165°F.

Keep in mind: Cooking the food will change the texture and reduce some of the naturally occurring nutrients found in raw diets. But it’s still a healthy and safe option if that’s what works best for you and your pet.

Sous Vide Method:

  • Place food in a vacuum-sealed bag.

  • Heat a water bath to no more than 165°F using a sous vide precision cooker.

  • Submerge the bag completely and cook for no more than 45 minutes.

  • Cool before serving.

Skillet Method:

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Cook the food, turning as needed, until it reaches an internal temperature of up to 165°F.

  • Cool before serving.

Baking Method:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.

  • Spread the food evenly on a baking tray.

  • Bake until the internal temperature reaches no more than 165°F.

  • Cool before serving.
